Introduces you to the fun and challenge of using an asymmetrical and/or a symmetrical spinnaker. You will learn the crewing roles, the procedures for ‘hoisting’ and ‘dropping’ spinnakers, how to ‘gybe’ with a spinnaker, and trimming techniques.

Course Prerequisites
Water confidence, and the skills, knowledge and experience gained in at least the Start Crewing [L1], Helming [L2] and Skippering [L3] courses.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who have grasped fundamental sailing skills and want to learn how to use spinnakers; asymmetrical and/or symmetrical.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Spinnaker completion certificate.
