Experience the magic of sailing on Sydney Harbour on one of our comfortable yachts. This short sailing experience introduces you to the exciting sport of sailing in a safe and controlled way.

Perfect for beginners.

But if you are already experienced you are still welcome to join us for some fresh sea air and sunshine. Or why not introduce a friend to sailing?

This three-hour, taster experience will give you the very basics of sailing and allow you to feel the magic!

Safety first

The lesson begins with a short safety briefing and an explanation of the basic parts of the yacht, as well as how to use clutches, winches, halyards, and sheets.

You go on to learn how to hoist and trim the sails, sail across the wind, helm the boat on different points of sail, and to tack.

Morning or afternoon

We run our Try Yachting experience in the morning and afternoon so you can choose a time that suits you.

The wind is often a little fresher in the afternoon. So, if you are looking for adrenaline, pick the afternoon if you prefer a more relaxed approach go for the morning.

Sailing Friendly, Experienced Instruction

The lesson will be run by one of our qualified and experienced instructors, who will show you the ropes in the friendly and relaxed manner that is the hallmark of Atlas Sailing.

After Sailing

Atlas Sailing is affiliated with Moman Rowers Club.  Refreshments and meals are available in the waterside 'Archie Bear' or you can enjoy lunch in a local cafe.
