If you are new to sailing, then the Start Crewing short course is the first step in your sailing journey! This course is an introduction to the basics of crewing and sailing on a keelboat. Choose a combination of four (4) lessons to complete the entire skill level. The flexibility of when you do the lessons is yours (subject to minimum numbers required).

The Level 3 course develops both your theory and practical skills to confidently take control on the helm. Choose a combination of four (4) lessons to complete the entire skill level. Start Skippering (L4) Learn to Skipper and Seamanship - You will now advance your sailing skills and safety knowledge to enable you to skipper unsupervised in sheltered waters.

Racing Fundamentals - You will now learn the basic racing rules of sailing, skills and tactics and gain an understanding of what is expected of a racing crew on a small boat.

The International Certificate of Competence (ICC) or also referred to as the International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft is a test of competence that provides the student with an internationally recognised qualification. It is issued under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Inland Transport Committee Working Party on Inland Water Transport Resolution No. 40.

Freedom Boat Clun - New Member Orientation [Private Course]

The course is tailored for all persons wanting to qualify for a NSW recreational boat licence, at a pace to suit all whilst having fun at the same time. This course provides the skills needed to support water-based activities at clubs, schools and outdoor recreation centres. You'll learn about racecourse design, practise on-water rescue of dinghies and gain an awareness of techniques to support kite surfers and kayaks.

This course provides advanced and intensive training in the practical skills, technical, navigational theoretical knowledge for small boat owners (<less than 10m). We train on a 6.8m rigid inflatable rescue craft.

The RYA Coastal Skipper course provides you with the opportunity to develop your seamanship, boat handling and navigation skills offshore by day and night.

Virtual Classroom Serssions to complement formal online course assessment. YM Coastal / Offshore Theory course will provide you a thorough knowledge of all the theory, seamnaship, navigation and passage planning required for the RYA Yachtmaster Coastal Practical and Certificate of Competence examinations.

This course leads to a practical assessment conducted independently by an RYA Yachtmaster Examiner. Depending on your prior skills and experience, your objective may be a Yachtmaster Offshore or Coastal Certificate of Competence.
