If you are new to sailing, then the Start Crewing short course is the first step in your sailing journey! This course is an introduction to the basics of crewing and sailing on a keelboat. Learn to sail in style on fabulous Sydney Harbour. Join a friendly crew on board our fast, comfortable 40-ft training yacht and let us show you the ropes. Requires 3 weekends for RYA Certificate.

This hands-on comprehensive skills development course is conducted over on weekends days - complete 3 weekends to qualify for the internationally accredited RYA Day Skipper Practical Certificate and an entitlement to apply for an International Certificate of Competence [ICC].

The objective of the course is to qualify FBC Members to take powerboat into Open Water (restricted area) as part of the Membership Services. Each Member will need to attend both Theory and practical sessions to gain knowledge and practical experience to a minimum standard to complete a short coastal passage by day.
